Day 7 A song to drive to

I think the best songs to drive to is the songs with cool beats. Since I came to LA, I don't drive that much. Not to mention I failed my driving test 4 times already, I don't have car to drive right now. But I drive my bro's car on his off days. I like to listen hip hop when I'm driving. Currently its Kanye West and Jay Z's Watch The Throne album.

The Long Walk by Stephen King old Review

The Long WalkThe Long Walk by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I felt so much pain from this book. Physical and mental pain...
I think this was the first book that made me cry. I feel so sad for the ending. Not just the death, the core idea of whole thing just made me feel uncomfortable and sad. It's definitely one of my favorite book

 CutiepieMarzia and Pewdiepie

Pewdiepie and CutiepieMarzia are Youtuber couple. I looove watching Youtube videos and beauty tutorials. I always watch FineBros' Kids/Teens/Elders React series videos. And in one episode of Teens React they reacted to Pewdiepie. Since then I become a true Bro and part of Bro Army. When I discovered Pewdiepie, I discovered CutiepieMarzia. And then I became true Marzipan ;)

Pewdie has gameplay channel and Marzia has beauty channel. I just love watching them both. If you haven't seen them go and check out their channels tons of fun. Their Youtube channels : Pewdiepie CutiepieMarzia

Who doesn't love coffee right? But I really really started to like brew coffee at home instead of buyin itg from outside. But trust me I love my Starbucks Double Pump Peppermint Cappuccino. I can try different types of milk, honey, cinnamon or Nutella whatever I want to add. My current love is Starbucks Anniversary Blend. It has strong spicy taste.

Scream for your life!: Thoughts on Edvard Munch's Scream

Hey Nerds,
Today I want to talk about one of my favorite piece of art work. I don't think there's anyone who doesn't know Norwegian famous artist Edvard Munch's Scream painting. I know you guys out there who didn't know artist's name or this works' name but seen this art somewhere right?
I always adored this painting. I even copied my own version in color pencils.
I first saw this work while watching MTV Asia(I believe in 2000's). This was one of the show ad in MTV Asia channel. I tried to find that small ad but can't seem to find it. I always fascinated by that ad whenever it airs.
And later I saw this on my 8th grade art textbook. That's the first time I knew who the artist was and what work of art is. Since then I forever obsessed with this work. I even collected framed copy of the painting, book, magnet and bag. I really relate to this art for many reasons. I tell you that later. But before that let's dig more about this art work first.

Too obsessed with Scream

So I did little research on my favorite piece of painting. Edvard Munch was considered Expressionist artist. The works originally titled Der Schrei der Natur which translates from German "The Scream of Nature". Edvard Munch did four versions of this art work but with lithograph work you may say he did five different versions of this painting. All versions were created during 1893 to 1910. There are two version of Scream created in 1893. Experts debated on which one is first version. I'm not expert but personally I think tempera version is first one.

Scream (1893) Crayon on cardboard; Scream (1893) Oil, tempera on cardboard

Scream (1893) Oil, tempera on cardboard

This is the well known and most famous version of Scream (1983).
Oil, tempera and pastel on cardboard.
Size: 91x73.5cm
Location: National Gallery, Oslo, Norway
Facts:  The most famous version of Scream. Considered complete version. Edvard Munch created lithograph version of this painting in 1895.

His diary written in 1892 contains explanation of this work. "I was out walking with two friends - the sun began to set-suddenly the sky turned blood red - I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on a fence - there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city - my friends walked on and I still stood, trembling with fear - and I sensed an end-less scream passing through Nature."

Scream (1893) Crayon on cardboard

Scream (1893) Crayon on cardboard

This is the second(or maybe first?) version created in year 1893.
Crayon on cardboard,
Size: Unknown
Location: The National Gallery, Oslo, Norway

Facts: This version is consider work less finished than the others. The colors looked more washed out.
This version was stolen from National Gallery in 1994. Thefts left note saying "Thanks for the poor security". Hmm lucky basterd haha. And it recovered two months later.

Scream (1895) Pastel on board

Scream (1895) Pastel on board

This is the third version of Scream created in 1895.
Size: 79x59cm
Location: Leon Black's private collection, USA
Facts: In May, 2012 American businessman Leon Black purchased pastel version for $119.9 million from Sotherby's auction. Set the new world record for single work of art at auction. Previously owned by Norwegian businessman Petter Olsen, whose father Thomas was a friend, neighbor and patron of Munch.
I heard this version of painting will go on public view for six months starting from October 2012 at The Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan, New York City. Another excuse to go to New York :P

Scream (1895) Lithograph

Scream (1895) Lithograph

The lithograph version of 1983 version of Scream.
Lithograph in black on cream card.
Size: 51x38.5cm
Location: Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, USA

Scream (1910) Tempera on board

Scream (1910) tempera on board

The fourth version was created in 1910.
Size: 83.5x66cm
Location: Munch Museum, Oslo, Norway
Facts: Some Munch historians believe that Edvard Munch created this version as a replica after selling 1893 version of Scream.
This piece was stolen from Munch Museum in 2004 and recovered slightly damaged in 2006.

As I mentioned earlier for many reasons I really relate to this art. I understand how he suddenly very felt very anxious, exhausted and saw nature turned blood red. And he wanted to scream. I read Edvard Munch struggled bipolar disorder which has excessive mood swings and his close family members had manic depression(bipolar disorder). His mood swings clearly seen in his other works. I know I don't have bipolar disorder or depression. I always had full happy life and great family. I don't know why but I'm just naturally shy, quiet and anxious person. Sometimes I just want to go away far far away. But then I realized wherever you go, your anxiety will still there. I always told myself "You have get over it no matter what". That was always biggest challenge for me. I still working on that. Maybe at that time Edvard Munch felt same thing too. If Edvard Munch gone through his weakness and created such masterpiece why can't I get over it right? After all we're all humans.  Do you guys have fear of something?

I don't want to end my post with my sad anxious story. So here is little painting? umm drawing I did back in 2010. Here it is to cheer you all nerds up. My replica version of Scream. It's colored pencil on paper. Hope you all like it :)
Edvard Munch Scream replica (2010) Colored pencil on paper. by Bindi Enkh-Amgalan

Let's get over our fears and live happily ever after.

Updated on Aug 02, 2014: So I just edited this post from 2012 because thanks to Picasa Web for deleting some of my blog pictures! Thanks for nothing Google. Anyways I came across interesting article about Scream painting location. Here is the blog post Pop Spots by Bob Egan
So the actual location is road called "Valhallveien" in Ekeberg Hill, Ekeberg south neighbourhood of Oslo, Norway.

Can we go to Oslo, Norway and pose like this guy and Scream? Added to bucket list ;)

Batman: The Killing Joke Review

Batman: The Killing JokeBatman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Comparing to previous comics that I read it showed a little background of Joker's. I took one star off because they missed Joker's scar. Alan what were you thinking? That smiling scar is like Joker's signature stuff. And I didn't quite get that water scene. What did happened to him and why he's crying blood? Well overall it was very good drawn and well organized comic. Before reading Killing Joke, I read Arkham Asylum and it was just perfect to pick up after that. 4 stars!

Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger review

The Devil Wears PradaThe Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I watched the movie first and liked it and then considered reading the book. And I actually liked Miranda. I think Andy was too ignorant. Since it's her job, she better shut her mouth and do the job. She just whines too much and I don't like her for that. Personally I never been in fashion industry but I bet its dirty, glamorous and interesting job. I would kill for Andy's job even though Miranda was such a hard cookie. For some reason Miranda kind of reminds of Kelly Cutrone "The PR in fashion industry". I just assumed Kelly Cutrone is more like Miranda not Anna Wintour. Overall it was good book worth reading.

Met the villains of Batman At Arkham Asylum. Illustrations were amazing. It feels like pages are screaming at you or splashing blood over your face. I discovered that The Joker is super insane. He was just born to be villain.

----------------------------------------->
ATTENTION! THIS PERSON IS HIGHLY ADDICTED TO BATMAN!

Anne Hathaway, Christian Bale 2?

Talia Al Ghul (Bit*h, Take your hands off my Batman! You don't wanna start catfight don't you? I have Catwoman as a backup!), The Joker #WINNING!

Batman: Year One (1987) - Frank Miller-

Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth уншиж Batman-ий хорон санаатнууд болох The Joker, Two-Face, Scarecrow нтртэй жинхэнэ тулж харьцнаа.

Nerd B

I just want to say THANK YOU!

Hey my lovely readers, today I just randomly opened my blog and discovered my blog viewed 1000th times. How exciting isn't it? My boring blog viewed 1000 times is big deal for me. I get very excited and decided to continue post stuff or my random "blabberness". I JUST WANT TO SAY HUGE THANK YOU my fellow nerds!

My own Fifty Shades of Grey Playlist and little review on book

So I just finished reading E.L.James's bestseller, most buzzed and yes uber-famous Fifty Shades Of Grey Trilogy. I am not gonna ashamed to admit that I read that book. It was one of the first adult genre book's that I've read and to be honest I really enjoyed reading it. Everyone was basically gasping over its excess sex and BDSM(click the link and to get more information. I added lot of info to my brain because of this book-no GASPing) filled pages. I love reading and I'm not gonna lie that "Ohh I read hundreds of book, I'm a real book critic" bullshit. From books I've read so far in my living years I thought this was one the books that really touched my heart.  It will definitely added to my Favorite list( my Goodreads and add me as friend ) So here are the things that this book really touched my heart. Christian and Anastasia are so innocent, even though according to Ana's Inner Goddess defined Christian Grey as "Sexpert". He was just exploring his heart and what really relationship is. I thought that was really fascinating. I was really attracted to their emotional relationship than their sexual stuffs. First love stories are always awe to read right? - yea I'm talking about Romeo and Juliet, Pride and Prejudice and Twilight. E.L.James said she wrote this novel based on Twilight series. I can see the similarities between Twilight and Fifty Shades. I haven't read Twilight fourth book. But Fifty Shades was way more interesting to read than Twilight, its stories worth kept me to roll its pages til the end of third book. Anastasia is not weak like Bella. She doesn't always depressed or cry over whatever over Christian. She can make powerful and right decisions without Christian's approval. NOT YOUR AVERAGE BELLA!! She is strong and independent woman.
I should say E.L.James has great taste in music. I don't know how she found these amazing song selections for Anastasia and Christian. Fifty Shades' playlist is now my favourite, most played playlist in my iPod. Music very much adorned and complimented their characters. (Original playlist is here) You will never hear these without thinking about the book. Everytime I listen Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon or I'm on Fire by Bruce Springsteen it remind me of Christian driving Ana back home. Not surprised at all. Since this book has variety of good musics I thought there is a few songs I could add to Christian and Ana's playlist.
...So you can be the one I love.
I can be the one you long for.
You can be the one I want... want.
And you can be the one I love.
This could be our world wide open.
You can be the one I want... want...
LYRICS ARE PERFECT FOR ANA AND CHRISTIAN :D HOW APPROPRIATE!
.....Tied up enough so I don't have to wonder where is he...
.....He swims in my eyes by the bed
Pour myself over him
Moon spilling in
And I wake up alone
And I wake up alone ...... REMEMBER ANA LEFT CHRISTIAN :( HOW APPROPRIATE

Here are the two songs that I could really think of.

Now after third book(Fifty Shades Freed) ended, I wanted more. James wrote few pages of Christian Grey's perspective in end of third book. That was pretty interesting so I ended up wanting more of Christian Grey's perspective.  I hope E.L.James continue write Christian Grey's perspective. That would be perfect before movie comes out. I want to know what he was thinking when he gazes at Ana. I'm not really finished with these two, I want more.... Movie rights sold to Universal Pictures now it's time to wait and see. I wonder whose gonna cast as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Until casting reveal, I want to suggest my own version of Christian and Ana. I bet writer E.L.James up for English actors.

Felicity Jones: 28 years old Birmingham born English actress. In a book Anastasia Steele is 22 years old student. I don't think other 22 year old actresses pull off sexy and innocent Anastasia Steele in the movie, we need more mature actress to play this role. My perfect Ana Steele is none other than Felicity Jones. She has pale beautiful skin, brunette and has large beautiful green eyes. She can definitely wear blue contacts and pull off perfect Anastasia Steele.  And she's 5'3 (159cm) definitely Ana's height!! :D

Henry Cavill: 29 years old English actor. In the book Christian Grey is 28 years old young billionaire. Even though Henry Cavill is playing as new Superman he can be domineering yet loving our Christian Grey. He has perfect body(have you guys seen him in Immortals?? *fanning my face*) and charming face. He's eyes are naturally blue and brown and his right eye has sectoral heterochromia. Gray contact lenses can fix that too. He is 6'1 (185cm) Remember Christian towering over Ana.
LOOK AT HENRY CAVILL'S TIE!! HOW APPROPRIATE RIGHT??? HAHAHA

So here you go my thoughts on Fifty Shades of Grey.  Can't wait the movie to come out until then I hope E.L.James will release Christian's version of Fifty Shades Trilogy. fingers crossed ;)

Here is song that remind you of them. They ride Audi R8 Spyder and listen Flower Duet by Leo Delibes *sexy as hell*

COUCHella 2012

I was so jealous of this year's Coachellians. Since I'm living in LA, I thought this year I will definitely go Coachella but I guess it wasn't. Festivals are for music, love and friendship. It's must've been more fun to go with bunch of crazy friends. Having not many friends and particularly most of them are not so much "festival goer" people, so I backed up this year. So this year was more like Couchella with nochella.

Coachella is still in my bucket list for sure.

Aside from awesome bands and musicians (Gotye yes!) year I really like fashions of festivals. Let's fuss about our favorite Coachella attendees.

Kristen Stewart
She spotted her boyfriend Robert Pattinson's cap. This girl becoming sexier everyday. :P

Emma Watson
Yes as a Potterhead myself I can't get enough of this girl. She was at Mulberry event. Look at that background balloons. So funny
Coachella 2012 Week 1 Day 1
Vanessa Hudgens
Last but not least our favorite regular attendee Ms. Vanessa Hudgens. This year she came with her new boyfriend Austin Butler.

Let's look at Vanessa's Coachella styles over the years.

Moody post...

My boring life continues...until I found this song. Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
I listened this song first time when I was watching the film "The Swept Away". Today I found the name of the song and my first thought was "this is my wedding dance song!"

And I thought I have to fall in love first! To be honest I never fall in love before. I had a few crushes but none of them was real love. I don't really try hard to find love or try to get to know people.
Anna and Declan
Strange feeling but after listened this song few more times I think I fall in love with my unknown future love. Weird but I'm kinda feeling love from someone I don't know or met.  Today is leap day. You know? You know the movie "Leap Year"? Most people think that movie so cheesy, just another chick flick. Yea yeah I get that but I love everything about that movie.
Lizzie and Darcy
Does people really fall in love for each other just in one day? I want to fall in love with some random guy after spent one day together just like Anna in "Leap Year". I want to fall in love for the guy that I used to hate just like Lizzie Bennett in Pride and Prejudice. They just meant to be together from the beginning. They found each other and be together no matter what happens. You may think "haha that's just movie". But I believe it. I want to have love like them. I used to hate having boyfriend or don't like talking about love n stuff. But now, my heart is ready for something special, someone special.
I wanna fall in love. ❤ I'M READY

I want to feel that happiness, sadness, I want to feel "that" broken heart feeling.

And I will play this song for my first Dance at My Wedding

Obsessed with the 60's....Anyone?

Does anyone obsessed with 60's??  I do!
Damn 60's era always had an amazing musics.,
Just think about The Beatles and The Animals (different kind of animals name?! what coincidence.) And there's a fashion. Tiny waist, big eyes, hippie chic.

You can't forget about the beginning of the New Hollywood era. Breakfast At Tiffany's, The Sound of Music...have you seen Psycho?

Can I get a ticket to 1960's please? Then I can listen The Animals' "It's My Life" and and hang out with Eric Burdon. Or listen The Beatles's "Twist and Shout" and twist my ass off.

I guess I was born in wrong era...*sign*
