How I take care of my bleached/damaged hair

Hey everyone,

It seems like my blog is a hair blog lately. Oh well...

As you all know I dyed, bleached, toned my hair for the last 6 years. So I wanted to share with you guys how I take care of my hair. Just a disclaimer here, I am not a professional hairstylist or hairdresser. I just do what works for me, in the end it's just hair it will grow back. If it doesn't , then oh well 'll just rock bald look any day. (Probably will get a tattoo if that happens :D)
So here are the tips how not to further damage your hair.

1. Don't wash your hair everyday!

I know what you're thinking - then how do u survive bad hair day? I use dry shampoo when my hair gets really oily. Using dry shampoo from time to time, instead of always washing your hair with regular shampoo, can actually protect your hair from damage. My favorite dry shampoo is from Batiste.
The team at Reviews.com tested some of the most popular dry shampoo formulas to figure out which ones were the best! I was so excited to see that my favorite brand, Batiste, made it to the top! You can check out the other winners here: https://www.reviews.com/dry-shampoo/  and find yourself a go to dry shampoo.

And time to time, yes dandruff is a problem. (I have allergy and also from bleaching my scalp gets really dry, Oh year I live in dry-est country - Mongolia) On those days, I... Well simple, rock a bun! I wear my hair up.

2. Coconut Oil + Castor Oil + Olive Oil

At least one a week, use oil mask for your hair. Ladder the oil mask at least 2-3 hrs before washing your hair.  I just eyeball the oil ratios depending on your hair length. Usually more coconut oil. I wear the mask day before going to bed and wash it the next morning. Cover your pillow with extra towel help you protect the sheets.

Oil mask helps get rid of dandruff and makes hair look shiny and moisturized.

3. No more heating

I have naturally really straight hair. And for some reason, my hair is really stubborn when it comes to styling. It got worse after it bleached and colored. So I barely use heating tools.
Thank god I like messy hair :D not a big fan of curls

4. Conditioning is must

I wash my hair 3-4 times a week, and try to use specific shampoo for colored hair. After shampooing I condition my hair twice. So conditioning is a must!

5. Trim regularly

I try to trim my split ends every two weeks. Since I'm laid back and chill with my hair, I do it myself. I don't worry much if I mess it up or not. AGAIN IT'S JUST A HAIR!

I think this is it. YEah, I hope you guys find this helpful - at least a little :P

Forgotten Indie Songs

Hi all,

Today I wanted to dig deep and find the songs I used to listen. I was such an indie kid in mid 2000's. Each song brings out so many good and emotional memories. I hope this list brings out your inner indie kid you used to be and brings as much as good memories and joy to you. Hope you all like the list.

Dedicated to my friend Tushig. I still miss you a lot.

Hair journey continues: This time it's legit VIOLET hair

Hi all,

April 2016
It's been a while. How are you all been doing? So my last post was about my grey hair. Since then I had to dye my hair brown... because u know life happened!

Before dying my hair brown, of course I had to go again for another rebel move. Which I went to get half shaved hair look(i dunno if this sounds right). More like undercut/shave whatever. It didn't go as I wanted, hairdresser was so inexperienced with shaving hairs. He messed up :( Looked so bad!! But I'm gonna attach the pic here. Oh my god, it looked so bad. haha kinda embarrasting.I had to wear my hair down for whole freaking 6 months!
That horrible undershave :(
Anyways, so Having brown hair was fine., it grew. After whole year, your girl wanted different color and this time it's violet. I just think, I don't want to have crazy fashion color when I pass late 30 or 40 :P

Yea the whatever brown hair LOL
So I dyed my hair here are the results.

Freshly dyed hair
After 2 wash
A week later
So I was hoping this violet color to fade into gray but unfortunately this dye never fades. Thanks Pravana!
I wanted greyish purplish color after few days, but it didn't happen. And I had bleach again my poor hair. Now it looks like this. Oh I cut bang for myself too :P
I know I'm crazy
Not a cute pic but you get the idea, My hair is greenish grey now :P

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!

Hair journey continues...

Hello U,

Finally I got gray hair. I know I know. In the last post, which faded purple was kinda gray but this time around the gray is REAL yo! I don't trust hair professionals here well, not trust I'm just not 100% percent satisfied with their work.
This time I got Color Brilliance ION Collection's "Titanium". I'm super happy with the results.

Rosie the Riveter - Feminist Icon Look (Video)

Hey guys,

So yesterday I watched Malala Yousafzai interview (interviewed by Emma Watson). Documentary film about her story named "He named me Malala" is out in October 2. If you don't know who she is you're clearly living under the rock. She is a female activist from Pakistan and speak about youth specifically girls education in her home country. She was targeted by Taliban gunmen and shot in the head, survived. She became youngest Noble Peace Prize laureate at the age 17 and such an inspirational young lady. So in her interview with Emma Watson, they discussed about feminism and  Emma's UN Speech, HeForShe Campaign inspired her to call herself feminist.

Here is the interview:
I can't wait to see the documentary.

So inspired by their interview I decided to do look related to Feminism. The next look was inspired by Feminism and Feminist icon Rosie the Riveter. Rosie the Riveter is used commonly as a Feminist Icon across the world.

Yes Girl! WE CAN DO IT!

October Favorites 2015

Hello everyone,

Another month passed. November will be new beginning bla bla lol anywayyys. October was this year's best month!! Cause I got little puppy!! His name is Calvin he's such a cutie. How was October for you? Anything interesting happened?

Calvin
Meet the newest member of our family. Calvin. He's so cute OMG! I've been wanting to have dog for more than 15 years aaaand finally got it. Having pet is a big commitment. It's like baby. Here are some pictures. By today he's 2 month old, Happy 2 Months Old Little One!

My hair

I dyed my hair pink and purplish and I'm loving it. I always wanted to try crazy colors because once you get older I don't think it's appropriate. (Just my opinion here) I got bunch of compliments for my new hair, only downside was electric colors just washes out quicker or fading is more noticeable than other colors. So you have to maintain the color and dye it every two weeks or three.

Products I used:
Wella Color Charm Powder Lightener
Wella Color Charm 20 Vol Cream Developer
Wella Color Charm Toner T18 White Lady
Color Brilliance Brights Purple 305083

Favorite song: Hello by Adele

You've probably heard and joined the bandwagon already. Adele is back biaches!
I'm listening Hello everyday. I loved 19 album when it came out now listening Hello was bittersweet. Good and sad memories. But I love you Adele!! I just cannot wait to listen the whole album.

Favorite beauty item: Coconut oil

Have you noticed there has been huge coconut oil craze on Pinterest? According to Pinterest, I guess you could just live with coconut oil without almost any beauty item. You can use it on your face, hair and body. I tried on my face, even thou my skin is extremely dry coconut oil wasn't that amazing. But it did wonders to my hair. You know my hair is already damaged by so many bleaches and hair coloring. On top of that my scalp very dry just like my face. I used coconut oil two times a week, 2 hours before washing my hair. And it helped me to get rid of dandruff, itchyness and split ends. So I would recommend using it for your hair.

Favorite make up item: Slayer lipstick by Kat Von D

I had this lipstick over an year and never wore it outside. But since I dyed my hair I'm rocking black lipstick. Feeling fierce as fuck! LOL You should too girlfriend! I'm obsessed with everything Kat Von D do. Tattoos, music, her crazy shoe collection and her make up line. Her make-up line products are absolutely amazing, great products. This particular lipstick is very moisturing doesn't dry out your lips. I would highly recommend it.

Favorite fragrance: Lola by Marc Jacobs

Again inspired my new hair color. These days I'm just reaching for my LOLA by Marc Jacobs. Whatever I'm wearing or where I'm going I think about myself and think Lola would smell like this.

Hand model is my sis BTW :)

Favorite movie: Wild

Recommended by my friend Nomin Enkhbaatar. I loved this movie and story behind it. How shitty your life become there's always way. You just have to find it, if you can't find just go for a walk or hike. :) I would strongly recommend this movie! Reese Witherspoon did amazing job.

That's all for last month's favorites. Hope you all enjoyed.
